She has achieved success in various fields, including energy, hospitality and human resources before entering the world of media as the Creator and Hostess of “MOMENTS WITH MO”, earning the accolade of Africa’s ‘first lady of chat’.
The show was the first of its kind to be syndicated across Africa, with an impressive guest list that includes Hillary Rodham-Clinton, President Muhammadu Buhari, and Christine Lagarde, amongst others. Five years ago, she launched EbonyLife TV, which is Africa’s first Global Black Entertainment and Lifestyle Network for premium homegrown entertainment, and in 2014, she started EbonyLife Films. Her debut film, Fifty premiered at the prestigious BFI London Film Festival. She produced The Wedding Party movies, in partnership with the ELFIKE Film Collective. They premiered to international audiences and broke Nollywood box office records. Her most recent film, The Royal Hibiscus Hotel, premiered at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival, with overwhelming positive feedback and had a successful cinematic release in Nigeria earlier this year. Mo is highly sought after for her in-depth knowledge on the African and Global creative industry. She has spoken at the University of Cambridge – Judge Business School, Harvard University and New York University Stern School of Business amongst others. Mo has received international recognition, including by Forbes magazine as “Africa’s Most Successful Woman” and as “One of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Global TV” by the Hollywood Reporter, dubbed “Africa’s Queen of Media” by CNN.
